Likusasa Project Systems have just launched the in-house developed LIKUSASA PROJECT ASSISTANT, a webbased project planning and progress control system for site build and upgrade projects.

Emerson and Likusasa have had a longstanding business relationship in Africa, and have joined forces once again – this time on the Hybrid Power System project in Zambia,for MTN.

Power, or rather the lack thereof, is one of the major problems faced on a daily basis by telecoms operators throughout Africa. Partly because of the nature of the cellular industry, and partly because of deficiencies in the power networks, operators are forced to become their own power providers for many of their sites. Even where grid power is available, the poor reliability of the supply necessitates serious interventions.
